More Details on Triple H’s WrestleMania 31 Entrance

triple hVariety.com has published an article covering NBCUniversal and WWE launching the “For The Hero In All of Us” brand campaign.

As noted in the press release, the new campaign is aimed at advertisers to help them combine their marketing efforts with NBCU and WWE instead of having to create separate deals.

The first marketing deal under the new deal will be for the upcoming “Terminator: Genisys” movie from Viacom’s Paramount starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. Triple H’s “grand entrance” at WrestleMania 31 will use imagery from the movie, and video outtakes from the event will be released to promote the movie’s release. WWE Chief Marketing and Revenue Officer Michelle Wilson provided the following quote:

“They [Paramount] get ad units, and they get integration in Raw and SmackDown, pulsing it from now until the film release. I don’t think we would have gotten a deal like this done without this new collaboration, this new strategy.”

Final 3/19 SD! Rating

Last week’s edition of WWE Smackdown drew a final 1.91 cable rating and averaged 2.595 million viewers.

Last week’s numbers were up compared to the previous week’s show, as the March 12th edition of Smackdown finished with a 1.83 rating and an average of 2.573 million viewers.
