NXT Takeover 2 News: More on Kenta’s Role, Charlotte Hypes the Live Special, Backstage Update on NXT TV’s Creative Process

Backstage Update on NXT TV’s Creative Process

With regards to the NXT TV creative process, while Triple H oversees all aspects of the weekly episodes, the main difference between NXT and the main roster TV shows is that NXT is written by one person, with help from another writer.

As we exclusively reported last week, a creative team shake-up recently took place in WWE which saw NXT lead writer Steven Guerrieri become the new lead writer for Smackdown, and former Smackdown lead writer Ryan Ward has been re-assigned back to being the lead writer of NXT again.

More on Kenta’s Role

As we reported last night, NXT newcomer Kenta will not be wrestling at tomorrow night’s Takeover 2 special, however he is expected to make his in-ring debut at the TV tapings scheduled to take place the night after the special.

As for his actual role at Takeover 2, WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair will be on-hand to introduce Kenta to the WWE Universe, so an in-ring segment featuring Flair and Kenta is expected for the show.
