Major Names Backstage at TNA

Kevin Kay – President of Spike TV – was backstage at tonight’s TNA Impact Wrestling television taping event in New York. Scott Fishman of Spike TV was also present at last night’s set of tapings at the same venue.
KILLAM: This is obviously good news for TNA, as it means there’s still a dialogue being had between the two sides. Scott Fishman was the guy that – according to Vince Russo – was told about Russo’s involvement in the creative process way back in January.
NXT Tag Tournament Begins
The first round of the NXT Tag Team Championship contender’s tournament kicked off on this week’s episode of NXT on the WWE Network. In the opening match of the night, Big Cass and Enzo Amore defeated the team of Tye Dillinger and Jason Jordan to advance. In the main event, Adam Rose turned out to be Sami Zayn’s surprise partner, and the makeshift duo moved past Tyson Kidd and Justin Gabriel to advance.
The last set of first round matches will air next week on NXT, with the winning team getting an opportunity at the NXT Tag Team Champions The Ascension at NXT Takeover 2.
