TNA Impact Wrestling Results (6/26) – Monster’s Ball, MVP Fired, Replacement Named!

MVP says if Roode loves TNA he will talk to him as his boss, then he gets in the ring and says Roode made a mistake and repeated it. He says it's time he reacts, and he tries to fire Roode, but a man named Earl Sullivan Armstrong cuts him off. He says he represents the Board of Directors, and says MVP is no longer in charge, but his replacement will be here soon to fix this mess. Roode says MVP can't suspend him or fire him, and MVP tries to tell him otherwise, but Roode decks him and throws the crutches at him on the floor.

BP: Roode was on point here; very intense promo from him. Eric got pushed to the side a little bit, but we should hear more from him in the coming weeks, including the title rematch.

DJ Z, Manik, and Crazy Steve all make their case for a X Division title match, with Knux saying they need to make money, and championships make money. Zema makes fun of him and says he deserves it, but Manik walks over and mocks Zema before saying he wants in. Sanada meets them in the ring and says if they all want a title match, they got it, and says they will have a four corners match right now.

X Division Championship

DJ Z vs Crazy Steve vs Manik vs Sanada (c)

We get a few near falls before Manik hits a hurricanrana, then he goes for a surfboard stretch but Steve tries to attack him. Manik blocks him and puts him in an abdominal stretch, then Zema hits him from behind and whips him but Manik sends him out to the floor. Manik backdrops Steve onto Sanada and Zema, then he takes them down with a crossbody on the floor before Zema hits Steve with a springboard tornado DDT. Zema sets him up top but Manik runs in and hits a Tower of Doom spot, then Sanada catches Zema with a double underhook suplex for the win.

Winner – Sanada

BP: Short and effective. Everyone got a few spots in, and it was well paced and easy to follow. Nothing to complain about.
