Brock Lesnar Return Update, Rey Mysterio Note, Rusev Plans At Extreme Rules

brock lesnar returnBrock Lesnar Return Update

Brock Lesnar is obviously not booked for a match at WWE Extreme Rules, but The Wrestling Observer is also reporting that he likely won't return until SummerSlam. If that's the case, it means he'll not only miss Extreme Rules, but also the Payback, Money In The Bank, and Battleground events.

Upon returning, speculation is that Brock Lesnar will challenge Daniel Bryan for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

With Lesnar taking so much time off this time around, it makes sense that WWE decided to pair Heyman with Cesaro during the interim. It's been known for quite some time that Lesnar had signed a limited-date contract, but it appears that Heyman is wanted as a full-time performer.

Rey Mysterio's Status

As reported earlier and tweeted by Rey Mysterio, he is currently on family vacation in Hawaii. The Observer added in a recent report that he was indeed given more time off due to nagging knee injuries.

WWE is wanting to begin transitioning Mysterio into more of an ambassador type of role for the company, but he is expected to wrestle a little longer before completely hanging up the boots. His in-ring work will be very limited going forward, however.

Alexander Rusev at Extreme Rules

The plan is for Alexander Rusev to have a squash match at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view, reports The Wrestling Observer, as long as time permits it.
