Stephanie McMahon took part in a special Q&A session at Thursday morning's CableFAX Most Powerful Women in Cable event in New York City. She mentioned both her mother, Linda McMahon – who was in attendance – and Bonnie Hammer as big influences on her.

One of the more interested statements Stephanie made at CableFAX was that nearly 40% of WWE's audience is female, and that over 40% of the people who attend live events are families. Those statements may come as a shock to those who assume WWE's product is largely tailored toward a male demographic. That being said, the article is vague on the term "audience" – that could refer to domestic viewers, international viewers, live attendees or some combination of the three categories.

These weren't the only interesting claims made by Stephanie McMahon, as reported by CableFAX.com. The article also states that the reason WWE attracts a large female audience is the ongoing storytelling from week to week, which makes sense. However, she also boasted their family-friendly product "never going to have a bad bout, or a boring match", according to the article. And finally, not only are there claims that WWE has not lost fans in the shift to PG, but they expect to "double or triple" the size of the company in the near future, through WrestleMania 30, the WWE Network and other avenues.

Certainly more than a few  bold claims by the McMahon Family.
