WWE Over The Limit Opener:
A real cool video package opens the show. We shoot live to the arena where some fireworks explode as Michael Cole welcomes us to WWE: Over The Limit. We go to the ring for our first match.
Intercontinental Title:
-Drew McIntyre vs. Kofi Kingston
Kingston comes out first A video airs to highlight the McIntyre-Kofi feud. McIntyre is out and our first match of the evening is officially underway. Striker and Lawler are arguing on commentary already. It’s gonna be a long night at the announce booth. Kingston is taking it right to McIntyre from the get-go, blasting him with kicks before hitting an early dive through the ropes onto McIntyre on the floor. McIntyre is starting to fight back a little. McIntyre hits a gut buster and tries a pin attempt. No dice. Kofi hits the Boom Drop. McIntyre tries for the Future Shock out of nowhere but Kingston reverses and hits the SOS for the pinfall. He gets the 1-2-3 and takes the I-C title.
Winner and NEW Intercontinental Champion: Kofi Kingston
After The Match: The Fun Continues
Kingston takes the I-C title and celebrates a little before heading to the back. McIntyre is throwing a hissy fit and demanding that Teddy Long do something about this. Instead, Matt Hardy comes down and hits McIntyre with the Twist of Fate and leaves him laying.
Backstage w/ CM Punk & The Straight Edge Society
Backstage we see CM Punk. Punk does the "mirror mirror on the wall" thing again. Luke Gallows and Serena of the Straight Edge Society answer every question by including "CM Punk." Punk explains to Gallows that he doesn’t like Rey Mysterio, but having him join the Straight Edge Society was for the greater good.

-Ted DiBiase (w/ Virgil) vs. R-Truth
A video package is shown highlighting the R-Truth/DiBiase feud with all of the Virgil fun. DiBiase-R-Truth is up now for our second PPV match of the evening. Truth is one step ahead of DiBiase with everything DiBiase does early on. DiBiase eventually gets so frustrated that he slaps R-Truth in the face. Of course, R-Truth slapped him right back. Truth knocks DiBiase to the floor. Virgil gets his first action in tonight, as he helps DiBiase back to his feet and then distracts Truth, allowing DiBiase to take the lead in the offense in the match again. DiBiase is in firm control now, hitting everything from clotheslines to suplexes. Truth hits a Flatliner to slow the pace down a bit. Truth goes for the axe kick but misses. DiBiase hits an Electric Chair spot for a pin attempt. He came close, but Truth kicked out. DiBiase goes for a suplex but Truth, in mid-move, reverses it to a Stone Cold Stunner-type move. Seconds later, Truth hits the Lie Detector for the win. Virgil checks on DiBiase as Truth heads to the back.
Winner: R-Truth
Backstage: Drew McIntyre Flips Out
Backstage we see an angry Drew McIntyre storm into Teddy Long’s room. McIntyre demands that Long reverse the decision in the match. Long refuses. McIntyre starts breaking stuff in Long’s office. McIntyre goes to destroy the Martin Luther King Jr. picture but Long begs him not to. McIntyre says Martin Luther King Jr. was a leader and Long is a gutless coward. He said the picture would stay where it was.
Hair vs. Pledge Match:
-CM Punk vs. Rey Mysterio
A video package airs highlighting the long Punk-Mysterio history. At ringside, there is a barber’s chair and hair-cutting materials laying around in case Punk loses. Punk comes out by himself, as apparently the Straight Edge Society has been banned from ringside for this match. Punk gives Mysterio the Straight Edge salute a lot. Rey is a little firecracker early on. Punk finally slowing him down a bit, hitting a couple of high-risk moves himself. Rey hits a springboard high cross body off the ropes. He gets Punk set up for the 619 but Punk avoided it and hit a double underhook back-breaker on Mysterio for a two count. Punk goes for the GTS but Mysterio escapes. Punk instead hits a powerbomb on Mysterio in the corner. Punk hits a bunch of kicks in a row. Punk is opened up now, bleeding. Rey goes for a springboard moonsault but Punk catches him and goes for the GTS. Mysterio hits 619 on Punk out of nowhere. He goes for the splash but misses. Punk tries a lazy cover. Rey applies a crucifix and scores the pinfall victory.
Winner: Rey Mysterio

After The Match: Let The Madness Begin
After the match ends, the mystery member of the Straight Edge Society attacks Rey. Luke Gallows and Serena join in on the beatdown. As the gang goes to handcuff Mysterio, Kane’s music hits. Kane hits the ring and beats everyone down, allowing Mysterio to handcuff Punk instead. Rey begins to shave Punk’s head as Punk begs for help. Rey shaves almost all his hair off, leaving a big patch in the back. Rey holds a mirror up to show Punk his new look. Rey’s music hits and off he goes. Serena covers Punk’s head with a towel.
Backstage w/ Big Show, Chris Jericho & The Miz
Backstage, Chris Jericho approaches The Big Show. He tells Big Show that he and The Miz trimmed the fat and now both were better off without him. Show says he left Jericho with nothing and now Bret Hart has left Miz with nothing. Jericho tells Show he and Bret would make a good team as Show is a cheap shot artist and Bret takes advantage of cheap shots. Miz enters the picture now. He’s behind Big Show, but Big Show doesn’t move. He simply tells Jericho that he’s going to knock out Miz. He then turns around and pretends he’s going to knock Jericho out. Jericho and Miz eyeball each other as Big Show laughs.
WWE Unified Tag-Titles:
-The Hart Dynasty vs. Chris Jericho & The Miz
The Unified Tag-Title match is up now. Natalya is at ringside with The Hart Dynasty. Tyson Kidd and The Miz are starting things off for each team. Kidd takes the early advantage. Quick tag to Smith, who hits his delayed vertical suplex, ala British Bulldog. Smith press-slams Tyson Kidd onto Miz and Jericho on the floor. Crowd popped for that. Jericho slows things down with a cheap shot and tags Miz back in. Miz goes to work some more on Smith. Smith hits an Electric Chair on Miz to slow things down. Both guys make tags. Kidd hits a number of dropkicks on Jericho. Kidd tries a huricanrana but Jericho reverses it into the Walls Of Jericho. Kidd grabs the ropes to break the hold. Kidd tries a springboard off the top but Jericho reverses that into The Codebreaker. He’s late in trying a pin attempt, so he only gets two. Smith tags in and hits a belly to belly release suplex. He follows up with a powerslam. Miz hits a jumping clothesline out of the corner on Smith, but Smith holds onto him and sets him up for the Hart Attack. Kidd tags in and hits the Hart Attack for the pinfall and the victory.

-Randy Orton vs. Edge
A video package airs highlighting the Orton-Edge history now. Orton comes out to a really big pop. Orton has Edge down early and is doing the Ronnie Garvin stomps all over his body. Orton with a slingshot on Edge under the bottom rope. Both guys are on the floor now and Edge regains control of the offense by tossing Orton into the ringside barricade. Edge throws Orton back in the ring. Edge suplexes Orton across the top rope. Edge goes to the top rope but Orton stops him. Orton climbs up. Edge throws Orton to the mat hard. Orton quickly crotches Edge on the ropes after getting back to his feet. Orton suplerplexes Edge off the top. Orton with a quick powerslam on Edge for a two count. Orton hits the DDT with Edge draped across the middle rope. He tries a pin but only gets two. Edge goes for a spear but Orton hits him with a kick instead. Orton setting up for the RKO, looks at his injured arm. Orton kicks Edge out to the floor. The ref checks on Orton as edge sells on the floor. Edge beats on Orton before attempting a spear. Orton moves and Edge crashes into the barricade. The referee counts to ten and both men are counted out.
Match ends in a Double Countout
World Title:
-Jack Swagger vs. Big Show
A video package airs highlighting the Swagger-Show history. Our World Championship match is up next. Swagger comes out to what seemed like a non-reaction from the fans in Detroit. Big Show didn’t exactly cause a riot either. Could be a bad sign for heat in this match. Swagger using his amateur moves to try and get Big Show off his feet but Show avoids. Show picks up Swagger for a chokeslam but Swagger works his way out and slides to the floor. Swagger sneakily clotheslines Show out to the floor. Swagger goes out after Big Show on the floor and takes out his knee hitting Show with a chopblock from behind. Swagger and Show back in the ring now, as Swagger tries a few pin attempts. No dice on any of them. Out of nowhere, Swagger uses his Championship belt as a weapon on Show and the referee calls for the match. Jack Swagger is disqualified.

After The Match: More Info
After the match, Swagger repeatedly hits Big Show in the back with chair shots. He goes for one too many, as Big Show recovers enough to hit Swagger with the big chokeslam. Show then hits Swagger with the chair. He chokeslams him on the chair too. He hits Swagger with the knockout punch. Referees have to help Swagger to the back.
Backstage: Josh Matthews Interviews Batista
After a video package shows Batista destroying Mark Henry, we shoot backstage to Josh Matthews, who is with Batista. Batista says he made John Cena say "I Quit" last week on RAW as the show went off the air. He says he’s going to do the same thing tonight, only this time the entire world will hear him say it.
WWE Divas Title:
-Eve Torres vs. Maryse
Both girls make their entrances. Confusing set up, as it definitely seemed like they were going with Batista-Cena now. Oh well. Lots of sloppy girl spots early. Eve hits a few modified dropkicks and then hits a standing moonsault for a nearfall. Eve hits another big spot for a nearfall moments later. Maryse goes for the French Kiss but Eve reverses and hits her finisher instead. Eve does her special pin cover for the victory to retain the Divas championship belt.

I Quit Match:
(WWE Title)
-John Cena vs. Batista
A video package airs highlighting the Cena-Batista history. Cena gets a pretty good pop coming out. Long, drawn out introductions are finally complete and here we go. Wait, spoke too soon. Batista grabs a mic and says he knows Cena knows he made him quit last week. He said he’ll give Cena one final chance to quit now publicly before he puts him in a world of pain. The ref asks Cena. Cena takes the mic and says he doesn’t think so. He hits Batista with the mic and our match is started. Dueling Cena chants already erupting from the fans. Batista turning the tables, going to work on Cena’s mid-section as he throws him into the ring post. Ref asks if Cena wants to quit, he says no. Cena hits two shoulder blocks on Batista, followed by a back suplex. He hits the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Cena picks Batista up for the Attitude Adjustment but Batista reverses his way out of it. He pulls the ref in front of him, kicks Cena, and then spears him. Batista locks in his new submission hold on Cena. Cena says no when prompted about he if he quits. Cena explodes out of the hold after a while. Cena locks in the STF but Batista won’t quit. He grabs the ropes to break the hold, but that doesn’t work in this match. Batista passes out as the ref asks him if he quits. Cena grabs some water and splashes it on Batista to wake him up. Batista says no when asked if he quits. Batista hits a spinebuster and a Batista Bomb on Cena. Cena hesitates before saying he doesn’t quit. Batista goes to the floor and takes all the stuff off the announce tables. Batista hits a running powerslam on Cena from one table onto another, destroying the table in the process. Crowd popped big for that. Cena is bleeding from the head now. The trainer checks on him. The ref asks Cena if he wants to quit, he says no. Batista throws Cena into the crowd. Batista takes him up some levels via the steps. They’re up on a balcony now with a railing. He tells Cena to quit or he’s going to throw him over. The ref asks Cena if he quits, he says no. Batista picks Cena up for a Batista Bomb over the railing. The announcers are freaking out about how this is going too far. Cena reverses and pushes Batista over the railing instead. Batista says he doesn’t quit. Both guys are battling now. Batista gets a chair and goes to work on Cena with it. Cena is asked if he quits, he again says no. Batista gets into a car that has been part of the set all night. Batista starts the car up and backs it into the stage. A bunch of lights and stuff go off. Cena pulls Batista out of the car. Cena hits Batista with the Attitude Adjustment on the hood of the car. Batista won’t quit still. Cena grabs the mic and says he was hoping Batista wouldn’t quit from that. He pulls Batista up on top of the car. He picks Batista up for another Attitude Adjustment but he screams "I quit! I quit!" Cena wins.
Winner and STILL WWE Champion: John Cena
After The Match: More Violence
Cena hits him with the Attitude Adjustment anyway and Batista crashes through the stage. Cena celebrates his win but in doing so, gets caught out of nowhere by a big boot from Sheamus. Cena is out as Sheamus stands over him, ending the show.
