Update On Tasha Steelz Following Injury Scare At 4/24 IMPACT Wrestling Tapings

Tasha Steelz is good to go after a reported injury scare over the weekend.

PWInsider.com first reported that Tasha Steelz, the IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts World Champion, was hurt at the IMPACT TV tapings in Poughkeepsie, NY on April 24. PWInsider’s Mike Johnson noted that Steelz got hurt during a tag team bout against Decay when she landed wrong during a sequence in the match and seemed “out of it” after the spot.

Steelz was checked out by IMPACT’s medical team after she tagged out of the match, and she was helped to the back by referee Brandon Tolle and the medical personnel. Steelz left the building after the taping had concluded under her own power, but her status for future events was not known at the time of the original report.

WrestleZone has learned more details about Tasha Steelz’s status and was able to confirm that she will not miss any time. One source speaking with WrestleZone said that Steelz is good to go and will appear at IMPACT’s next set of television tapings in Newport, Kentucky (Cincinnati) on May 7-8. It was also emphasized that Steelz left the Poughkeepsie taping on her own and any report about the severity of an injury is completely false.

Tasha Steelz won the IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Championship at Sacrifice on March 5 by defeating Mickie James. She retained the gold in a match against Rosemary at Rebellion on April 23.

Update: Steelz spoke with Women’s Wrestling Talk and said that she’s not injured, adding that “Ima bad ass, can’t nothing or nobody hold me down!”
