Becky Lynch Attributes Her Success In WWE To Being A ‘Student Of The Game’

Becky Lynch does what she loves, and loves what she does.

Former RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch spoke with WrestleZone’s Dominic DeAngelo ahead of WrestleMania 38. Lynch was asked about how her attitude and drive got her to the top of the business and earned the admiration of the likes of Eric Bischoff and Steve Austin. “The Man” said she’s grateful to have her peers speak highly of her, but it all comes down to hard work and loving what she does.

“I feel very grateful for it,” Lynch explained. “Especially coming from people that I admire so much and that I respect, and have been great minds in the business. I really, truly appreciate it. It’s just a matter of being a student of the game, you know? I love this and I study this, I watch whatever I can and I’m always thinking about it. To go from, God, probably nearly getting fired every single day that I was in NXT to now being undefeated for this title for three years, it’s pretty cool. It’s pretty frickin’ cool.”

Bianca Belair beat Lynch for the RAW Women’s Championship on night one of WrestleMania 38, ending Lynch’s latest run as champion at 162 days. Lynch never lost the title during her first reign (she vacated it after announcing her pregnancy) and she had a combined run of 560 days over two reigns.
