Juggling life as a mother and a main-eventer with WWE sounds like a daunting task, but Becky Lynch is making the most of it.
“Big Time Becks” returned to the company at SummerSlam last year and subsequently regained her place as one of its top stars. She’s now heading into another high-profile match at WrestleMania 38, where she’ll defend the gold against Bianca Belair.
During an interview with Joseph Staszewski of the New York Post, Lynch discussed all things WWE and noted that there’s “no time for slacking”, both with WWE and with her family. She stated that she “doesn’t get much” sleep anymore, but there’s a silver lining to this challenge; it is fueling her creativity.
“I’m coming up with some of my best promos at like 4 o’clock in the morning, so I think that helps,” Lynch joked.
The RAW Women’s Champion went on to describe how she’s enjoying her run as a heel because she’s having a good time building up new stars.
“When you’re a heel you have to make sure that the audience loves the right person,” Lynch said. “I feel like I’ve been doing a good enough job of bringing up the people who haven’t gotten the shine in the past and it’s been good and rewarding, and seeing them take their moment and really make the most of them has been incredible.”
Lynch’s bout against Belair is one of the most buzzworthy bouts on the card for WrestleMania Saturday on April 2.
