Wardlow Is Excited To Show More Personality Now That He’s On His Own

Wardlow is branching out and showing people what he’s really made of.

Wardlow spoke with Rick Ucchino of the Bleav in Pro Wrestling podcast after he won the Face Of The Revolution ladder match at AEW Revolution. Wardlow says it’s still hard to believe that he was in the match, and explained why it’s been the best night of his career to this point.

“Man there’s so many situations thus far in my career that have just been mind-blowing and hard to even comprehend how things play out. I’ve said it before, manifestation is real. So I grew up loving the Hardy Boyz, Edge, Christian, Dudley’s, all those ladder matches. Revolution was my first pay-per-view performance, and in my first pay-preview, I am in a ladder match, not only in a ladder match,” he noted, “but I’m in a ladder match with Christian. I mean it’s so wild how life works, it’s still hard to believe every day.

“When I say that was the best night of my life, I truly mean it. I mean the moment of grabbing that ring and putting it over my head at the end of that ladder match and hearing that crowd, and then hearing them again in the moment of placing that ring,” Wardlow said. “When I turned around and I was walking up the ramp, and I heard behind me the entire arena chanting my name, best moment of my life. I mean I’ve been dreaming of that moment since I was in elementary school. So I knew it would be a big moment, I just didn’t comprehend it would be received that well.”

Wardlow said he’s excited to show people his full skillset now that he’s on his own, noting that he gave them a preview of his mic skills on the March 9 episode of Dynamite.

“Wednesday I finally got to show that, you know, give me a microphone and I can talk. So I was very excited to show that, and I’m excited to have the opportunity to have a microphone in my hand more often. But yeah man, I’m just ready to be myself. I’ve had to be this silent bodyguard and I know that was my job. And realistically there is a side of me that is very quiet,” Wardlow noted, “but you know, I’m ready just to show the world every aspect of Wardlow and everything that I can do because I have so much more to give than what people have seen.”

Wardlow was unsuccessful in defeating Scorpio Sky for the TNT Championship on the March 16 episode of Dynamite. Check out full results from this week’s show at this link.
