NXT Championship Match Set For WWE NXT Stand & Deliver

LA Knight got the NXT Championship shot he wanted against Dolph Ziggler, but it didn’t go the way he planned.

On the March 15 episode of WWE NXT 2.0, the special edition of Miz TV on NXT 2.0 didn’t go off without a hitch, as LA Knight crashed the party. “The Megastar” interrupted Miz, Robert Roode and the NXT Champion Dolph Ziggler in the opening segment. Knight challenged the champion to a title match. Ziggler initially shot him down, as he claimed that he only faced “Superstars.” But Knight eventually received the chance to challenge for the gold, as he declared that he was a “megastar” who could beat Ziggler on any given night.

During the bout, Ziggler took control of the match through the first commercial break, but Knight rallied and scored multiple neat falls. Announcer Vic Joseph claimed cameras were catching something backstage and sure enough, Bron Breakker pulled up to the arena. Back in the ring, Knight hit a superplex for another near fall. Both men attempted their finishers, but Ziggler nailed a superkick and got the 1-2-3.

After the bout, Breakker stormed out and demanded his rematch for the title, and he named WWE NXT Stand & Deliver as the time and place. Ziggler responded by holding up the belt and accepting the challenge.

Ziggler won the gold when he defeated Breakker and Tommaso Ciampa in a Triple Threat match on the special “NXT Roadblock” episode on March 8.
