The National Wrestling Alliance has announced some breaking news about the two-night NWA Crockett Cup event on March 19-20.
In a new video shared on the company’s Twitter page, NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Matt Cardona threatened to no-show the event if the promotion didn’t add a special guest referee to his title bout with Nick Alds to ensure that it was ruled fairly. With this in mind, NWA announced that WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett will officiate the bout. Jarrett had previously been announced as the special ambassador for the event.
Additionally, Cardona demanded the NWA to give his wife, Chelsea Green a shot at the Women’s World Championship, which is currently held by Kamille. The promotion subsequently added Green to the scheduled a three-way bout between Kamille, Kylie Rae, who was already set to challenge for the gold, and Green.
Finally, Doug Williams’ mystery partner is former WWE and IWGP Tag Team Champion Harry Smith. Williams needed a new teammate after Aldis challenged Cardona. During the video, NWA revealed Smith as Aldis’ replacement.

The exact card for the show is currently unclear, but with these announcements, NWA is continuing to build up the event.
