CM Punk To Face MJF In A Dog Collar Match At AEW Revolution

On the February 16 episode of AEW Dynamite, CM Punk named the terms for his rematch with MJF.

Clad in a “Mid” shirt to mock his rival, “The Second City Saint” opened the show by reflecting on his loss to the Dynamite Diamond Ring winner. He surprisingly said he’s proud of MJF, but he’s disappointed that “The Salt of the Earth” failed to take useful knowledge away from this first victory. Punk pointed out that the foundation of the career “Little Max” is his diamond ring. He then named AEW Revolution as the place for the rematch before he wondered which stipulation would be most fitting.

Punk called out the downsides of a cage match by noting that MJF could still run away and escape his fate in the steel. He then stated that if MJF wants to be Piper be so bad, he’ll give him what he wants. Punk pulled out a dog collar and asked MJF to be his “valentine”, a callback to Roddy Piper’s Dog Collar match with Greg “The Hammer” Valentine.

When Punk called MJF out, the former world champion showed his foe a picture of the two when they met during MJF’s formative years. Punk stated that Sunday, March 6th, will be the worst day of MJF’s life when he’s left lying in his own blood.
