Inner Circle Implosion, No DQ Bout Set For 2/16 AEW Dynamite

The February 16 episode of AEW Dynamite will come two days after Valentine’s Day, but love won’t be in the air on Wednesday night.

Next week’s edition of the flagship show will feature two heated bouts that are packed with animosity. In an explosive clash between Inner Circle members, Santana and Ortiz will face Chris Jericho and Jake Hager. Tensions within the stable have been brewing for some time now, as Santana and Ortiz have struggled to coexist with Jerico recently. Hoping to settle these issues, Jericho called a mandatory team meeting on the February 9 episode of AEW Dynamite, but it wound up adding fuel to the fire.

During the meeting, Santana and Ortiz accused “Le Champion” of only caring about himself. They somewhat blamed Jericho for their failure to find more success in the tag team division by noting that they’ve had to focus their energy on his various feuds. “The Influencer” fired back by saying that Santana and Ortiz are responsible for their own shortcomings. He wondered whether he picked the wrong members of LAX for the Inner Circle before TNT Champion Sammy Guevara, tired of the bickering, threatened to quit the group if the two sides couldn’t resolve their conflict. In an attempt to do so, the two teams will collide next Wednesday.

Plus, Thunder Rosa will battle her enemy Mercedes Martinez in a No Disqualification Match. Rosa won their previous encounter via DQ when Martinez hit her with a pipe, so both women will be hoping to score a decisive victory this time around.
