Bobby Lashley Beats Brock Lesnar For The WWE Championship, Paul Heyman Realigns w/ Roman Reigns At 2022 Royal Rumble

Bobby Lashley is once again the WWE Champion, but his title win was not without controversy.

Brock Lesnar defended the WWE Championship against Bobby Lashley, but Roman Reigns made his presence felt and ultimately influenced the outcome of the match. Reigns showed up at ringside near the end of the match, hitting Lesnar with a surprise spear. The bigger surprise, however, was when Reigns asked Paul Heyman to hand him the WWE Championship, and Heyman ultimately obliged. Reigns hit Lesnar with the title, which allowed Lashley to spear Lesnar and pick up the win.

This is Bobby Lashley’s second WWE Championship reign; Lesnar’s sixth title reign ends at just 28 days.

WWE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: BROCK LESNAR (C) W/PAUL HEYMAN VS. BOBBY LASHLEY W/MVP

Lesnar and Lashley lock up, which ends in a stalemate. Lesnar hits a German suplex. Lashley pops right back up to his feet. Lashley and Lesnar circle each other. Lashley hits a German suplex of his own. Lesnar pops back up to his feet. Lesnar laughs. Lesnar and Lashley lock up again. Lesnar hits two German suplexes. Lesnar tries an F5`but Lashley escapes and hits a Spear. Lashley hits another Spear. Lesnar rolls out of the ring. Lashley tries to Spear Lesnar through the barricade but Lesnar moves out of the way.

Lashley sends Lesnar into the ring post. Lashley misses a Spear in the corner. Lesnar hits a struggle release German suplex. Lesnar hits another German. Lashley gets to his feet but Lesnar quickly hits another German. Lesnar watches as Lashley struggles to get to his feet. Lesnar lands two more German suplexes. Lesnar picks up Lashley for the F5 but Lashley reverses it into the Hurt Lock. Lesnar starts to fade.

Lesnar backs Lashley into the corner but crushes the referee in the process. Lesna lands an F5 but Lashley’s feet wack the referee and he is sent flying out of the ring. Lesnar goes for a pin but there is no referee. Lesnar turns around and Reigns Spears him. Reigns glares at Heyman. Heyman clutches the WWE Championship. Reigns puts out his hand and Heyman hands him the WWE Championship. Reigns clocks Lesnar in the head with the title. Lashley pins Lesnar!
