Eddie Kingston says Chris Jericho should work on helping his Inner Circle stablemates win gold instead of getting in pointless squabbles.
Eddie Kingston was a recent guest on the Battleground podcast and said Chris Jericho’s own issues are a reason that Santana and Ortiz, aka Proud ‘n’ Powerful, haven’t been AEW Tag Team Champions yet. Kingston (who seemed to be in character) said that Santana and Ortiz have been his friends for years, but he’s never liked the fact that they were linked to Jericho in AEW. He added that Jericho could come see him if he took issue with what he was saying, adding that he should focus on trying to help his friends with a tag team title win instead of having them deal with his own issues.
“If it wasn’t for Chris Jericho, and his beefs with random people, Proud ‘n’ Powerful would be world tag team champions. I’m saying it now. And if Jericho don’t like it, come see me in Raleigh, dog. I’ll be there. Holla’ at me Jericho. Yeah man, but like to me, Jericho’s not the guy from Smokey Mountain No More. Jericho’s not the guy from New Japan no more. So don’t come at me, man. Don’t come at me, dog. You know what I mean, try to help me. I don’t want your help. Why don’t you go help PNP get a world tag title shot instead of worrying about yourself? Yeah I said it. Clickbait it.”
Eddie Kingston and Chris Jericho have been feuding for the past several weeks, and Kingston recently teamed with Santana and Ortiz against 2.0 and Daniel Garcia on the January 5 episode of AEW Rampage.
