Rick Boogs Ate A Bag Of Cat Food During His Attempt To Gain Weight

Rick Boogs went to a new extreme in his recent attempt to gain weight.

The latest episode of Out Of Character with Ryan Satin saw Rick Boogs as the guest, and the SmackDown star shared an unusual way he attempted to gain more muscle mass. Boogs noted that he put on 20 pounds since he debuted on SmackDown and noted that it was a pretty difficult task due to being home more with NXT compared to traveling with SmackDown. Asked how he was able to accomplish this task, Boogs said he goes to the extreme and he went as far as eating cat food.

“I’ve gone as far as to coming up with the idea of eating cat food [laughs] because I thought it would be a good snack on the go, [I’d have] highly-dense, nutritious treats to carry in my pockets so at all times I was calorically satisfied, micro-nutritionally full, if you will. It was disgusting,” Boogs said. “It didn’t last very long, but the fact is that I went that far.”

Rick Boogs said he tried to make it work for as long as he could and got creative with it to a point, but it was just too much for him to stomach in the end.

“I tried to make it work for a whole bag of cat food. I went to the store and I said I’m not going to get the cheap stuff. If I’m going to eat cat food, I’m going to the highest quality. I kinda went undercover to the best pet food store and I asked them what’s the best premium cat food, I make it seem like I really, really care about my cat, when in fact I want the sweet potatoes, I want the salmon, I want the kale bits, I want all of that stuff. So I lasted about the entire bag of cat food, I just had to work around it and instead of eating it like snacks,” he explained. “I eventually tried to get creative and drizzled cheese and sour cream [on it] and tried to turn it into a frijoles dish, like a Mexican cuisine to try and mask the flavor.”

Boogs went on to explain that he did other things like eating a dozen bagels and a jar of peanut butter a day, and he’s also consumed a gallon or two of milk a day for another bulk. He said that didn’t work out because he had to pee too much, and at one point he had 24 gallons of milk in his fridge. In regards to the bagels, he said he could eat a bag in one sitting, and he’d burn it all off when he was working out in the gym.
