Drew McIntyre Reportedly Dealing With Legitimate Injury

Drew McIntyre defeated Madcap Moss in an intense back and forth battle last night. Later in the night, both Corbin and Moss teamed up to use a steel chair around McIntyre’s neck along with dropping something on him.

WWE provided an injury update by saying: “Drew McIntyre suffered a cervical neck strain with severe contusions. Upon further evaluation by medical staff he will have a follow-up with an orthopedic cervical specialist.”

In another update to the situation, Fightful Select reports that McIntyre is legitimately suffering from an undisclosed injury. The segment was done backstage last night to write him off TV, although its unclear at this time how long he will be gone.

PWInsider reported that McIntyre has neck issues and WWE is just being proactive about everything as we approach WrestleMania season. They also said that they expect this to be a ‘short-term leave’. McIntyre left the arena last night in a neck brace.

McIntyre is scheduled to undergo further testing soon.
