On December 26, WWE held a live event from the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.
Several top stars, including Roman Reigns, missed the show due to COVID-19, so the company had to call an audible and pivot from several of the advertised matches.
The results, courtesy of Ashley Colton of PWInsider, are as follows:
- Drew McIntyre cuts a promo about his bond with Tampa, dating back to his FCW and the Thunderdome era. The Usos interrupt him, noting that the fans paid to see Reigns, but “too bad he ain’t here tonight.” Jimmy and Jey attack McIntyre until Sheamus makes the save. “The Celtic Warrior” says he and McIntyre should put aside their differences and challenge for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship. McIntyre agrees, so “The Tampa Warriors” are born.
- Kofi Kingston defeated Sami Zayn.
- Xia Li defeated Shotzi Blackheart; Shayna Baszler attacked Li after the match, but Li fought her off.
- Ridge Holland defeated Mansoor
- WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions The Usos defeated Sheamus and Drew McIntyre; Sheamus turned on McIntyre and subsequently insulted “The Scottish Warrior” and Tampa. He then challenges McIntyre to a Street Fight, which is announced as the main event.
- Backstage, WWE 24/7 Champion Dana Brooke evades Aliyah, Toni Storm and Drew Gulak.
- Cesaro & Ricochet defeat The Viking Raiders and Los Lotharios (Angel and Humberto)
- Rick Boogs comes out to play Shinsuke Nakmura to the ring, but Happy Corbin attacks him.
- Happy Corbin defeated Rick Boogs
- Smackdown Women’s Championship: Charlotte Flair (c) defeated Sasha Banks; Flair seemingly wants to shake Bank’s hand after the match, but instead she tries to attack “The Boss.” Banks sees through her trick and leaves Flair lying with a Backstabber. “The Boss” then holds the title over her head.
- Street Fight: Drew McIntyre defeated Sheamus; McIntyre fought off Ride Holland’s interference and put Sheamus away with the Claymore.
