On AEW Winter is Coming, MJF sought to win the Dynamite Diamond Ring for the third year in a row, and Dante Martin hoped to win the ring and take his career to the next level. The two stars clashed on Wednesday night, one week after they emerged victorious in the Dynamite Diamond Battle Royal.
Early on, Martin showcased his signature high-flying offense. MJF gained the upper hand by sending his opponent crashing into the barricade. The leader of The Pinnacle grounded the fan-favorite star for the next few minutes. The Top Flight standout rallied with a flurry of aerial offense.

The two men continued to go back and forth, and they traded several pin attempts. Martin nearly won the bout with a springboard moonsault, but Ricky Starks ran to the ring so he could put MJF’s foot on the ropes. “The Salt of the Earth” capitalized on the interference and made Martin tap out to his signature arm-bar.
After the match, Darby Allin, Sting and CM Punk confronted MJF and FTR; “The Second City Saint” challenged the latter trio to a match on the December 23 episode of AEW Dynamite, which will be the “Holiday Bash” special.
