Charlotte Flair: I’m Not Interested In A Queen vs. Queen Match; I Don’t Need To Fight Over A Crown

Charlotte Flair has been ruling over the WWE women’s division for some time, and while Zelina Vega may be Queen right now, Flair doesn’t intend to face her in a match for the crown.

Speaking to Metro in a new interview, Flair quickly shut down the idea of a Queen vs. Queen storyline, saying that she has no need to prove herself to Vega or anyone else, for that matter.

“I don’t think I need to fight over a crown, sorry,” Flair said. “I don’t think I need a crown to be called the Queen. I am the Queen. It’s silly to me. [laughs] No offense!”

Flair went on to admit that perhaps facing off against Vega would be fun, but that centering an entire storyline around two queens would be silly to her.

“I mean, maybe facing Zelina, but to have a match focused around Queen versus Queen? Like, I’m the Queen of them all – without a throne,” Flair said. “I don’t see that as – she has a long way to go before that becomes her… I don’t know how you say it? I always wear my invisible crown.”

While Flair may be “The Queen,” she does have some competition in the form of Vega, who clearly sees herself as the true Queen of WWE. Whether or not the two Superstars will ever meet in the ring is unknown, but it’s clear that Flair feels secure with her status as the top star in the women’s division.
