Jeff Hardy Wants To Face Roman Reigns, Reunite With Matt Hardy Before He Retires

Jeff Hardy has practically done it all in WWE, but he still a few goals left on his list.

In an interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling’s SP3, the former WWE Champion made it clear that he wants to win the WWE Universal Championship, one of the few titles he hasn’t held. Roman Reigns currently holds the gold, and Hardy expressed his interest in facing “The Tribal Chief.”

“I guess there’s three [goals] I think about more than anything,” said Hardy. “And number one would probably be to be the Universal Champion, ideally defeating Roman Reigns because that’s one of my dream matches, because his stuff is so powerful now. Even, you know, I’ve got to mix it up with Seth [Rollins] in the ring, and even Dean Ambrose back before he left. And they were The Shield, that was their big deal, so now Roman’s the one guy, we never came in contact with each other. So I just feel like I kinda belong in that story, and that I will belong in that story.

A match between Hardy and Reigns would be completely fresh, but “The Charismatic Enigma” also wants to take a trip down memory lane by revisiting past aspects of his career. He described how he hopes to bring the Willow character to WWE and/or reunite with his brother Matt, whether this team-up happens in WWE or elsewhere.

“…Number two is probably this alter ego of mine called Willow that’s kind of out there, that people are aware of,” said Hardy. “Doing something that’s different than what Bray Wyatt and The Fiend did, but something very exciting because Willow’s near and dear to my heart, because he was my main before we made it in WWE. And then the third one is reuniting with my brother, whether it’s here or over there, and over there could be anywhere. Because like you said, I mean, contracts expire, people released, I mean it happens all the time. So anything’s possible man, in or outside of wrestling.”

For now, Hardy is set to represent WWE SmackDown in the 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Tag Team Match at the pay-per-view on Sunday. As he noted, anything’s possible, so fans will have to wait and see what his future holds.
