Becky Lynch Compares WWE RAW To Watching ‘Titanic,’ Strives To Make It The Coolest Show On TV Again

Becky Lynch says three hours of WWE RAW is a challenge, but it’s one that she’s up to facing.

During an interview with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, Becky Lynch was asked about WWE RAW clocking in at three hours, a runtime that has been criticized over the years by fans. Lynch says the show has suffered in the past, but she sees it as a chance to build RAW back up to being the best show on TV.

“To be perfectly honest, RAW has suffered sometimes in the last few years and so it’s an opportunity to really build that show back up and make it the coolest thing on TV. And that’s always the goal, that’s always what I strive to do,” Lynch explained, “is how do we make this not-miss TV? How do make this so cool? How do we get the stories that people just have to tune in, they can’t miss anything for the whole show? And so it’s hard with a three-hour show, but I think we can get there. I think we’ll get there.”

Becky Lynch was also asked about the perception that SmackDown is a better show than RAW, and she said it just stems from RAW having an extra hour.

“It’s the extra hour. And so which is great, you know, three hours of wrestling is awesome, it’s awesome. It’s also hard, too. You know, you watch Titanic, [that’s] a long movie, it’s what, there hours then minutes? We’re doing that every week. We’re doing that every week. So two hours seems like the perfect length for a wrestling show. And when you add an extra hour and it’s late, then it gets hard to do that. But I think you see it some weeks that we’re building momentum and it’s gonna be awesome.”

Becky Lynch will face off with Charlotte Flair at Survivor Series on Sunday, November 21. Check out the updated match card at this link.
