Jonah Rock (Bronson Reed) To Make NJPW In-Ring Debut At 11/15 ‘Detonation’ Taping

Jonah Rock, formerly known as Bronson Reed in WWE, will make his in-ring debut for New Japan Pro-Wrestling at the NJPW STRONG: Detonation tapings on November 15, just two days after he made a shocking appearance at the promotion’s “Battle in the Valley” event.

There, he attacked Juice Robinson after he initially confronted Moose. It’s currently unclear who Jonah will face on Monday.

Reed was a prominent star on WWE NXT, and he held the NXT North American Championship. He was widely expected to get called up to the main roster; instead, he was released alongside several other performers on August 6.

Update: In a tweet, Jonah commented on the news by saying that NJPW STRONG seems “fitting.” He called himself the “top dog” wished his opponent good luck. In another post, he stated that he has a “working promotion” with NJPW, but he’s taking bookings in the United States. He’s already been announced for The Wrestling Revolver’s “Once Upon A Time In Iowa” show on January 16, 2022.
