Bryan Danielson Wins World Title Eliminator Tournament At AEW Full Gear

Bryan Danielson is the new number one contender to the AEW World Championship.

Bryan Danielson won the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament at Full Gear, defeating Miro in the final match. Danielson overcame some dominant offense by Miro, connecting with a tornado DDT from up top before immediately putting Miro to sleep with a guillotine choke.

AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament Finals

Miro vs. Bryan Danielson

Bryan goes for the handshake but Miro doesn’t accept. Miro flings BD. Danielson goes to kick Miro but Miro tosses him again. Reset button. Lock up and Bryan hits some strikes and chops. Side headlock attempt and Bryan corners Miro for some more strikes. Miro knocks Danielson to the outside. Danielson puts his knees to his chest to recuperate.

Back in the ring, Danielson hits with some more strikes in the corner, but Miro shoulder tackles him. Danielson hits him with an inside elbow strike and dropkicks him out of the ring. Danielson goes for a dive but Miro strikes him in the ropes. Overhead belly-to-belly on the outside by Miro.

Miro gets in the ring and gloats to mostly boos. Several vert suplexes by Miro. Two count. Miro chokes Danielson in the ropes before a hammer throw into the corner. More gloating from Miro. He’s mocking the “Yes” chants. This allows Bryan to strike back in the corner. He hits a running dropkick. Miro then catches him with a Samoan Drop. Two count.

Miro goes to snake eyes Danielson into the ring post, but Bryan pushes him off, gets on the apron and hits a leaping knee from it. He gets Miro back in the ring. Dueling chants. Shotgun dropkick from up top by Bryan. Miro is down in the corner and crawls toward Bryan. Yes kicks a-plenty. He hits about seven until Miro catches him, but Danielson rolls through for a pin attempt and then a knee bar. Miro is trapped. Instead, Miro deadlift gutwrenches Danielson. Release German suplex by Miro. Back body drop attempt by Miro but Danielson lands and kicks him. Two count. Front facelock by Bryan leads to knees strikes before his patented face stomps. Danielson sizes him up. He goes for the running knee strike, but Miro catches him for a powerbomb. Two count. Miro looks up at his God. Miro limps to his feet and calls for a Game Over. He tries to get it in, but Danielson fights. Miro has it in. Danielson makes it the ropes before fading.

The’s some rolling on the mat until Danielson gets the LaBell lock on. Miro fights for awhile and turns Danielson over for some hard strikes. “This is awesome” chants. Danielson has a triangle sleeper locked in . Miro gouges Danielson’s eyes. Aubrey Edwards breaks it up and tells Miro to keep it clean.

Danielson strikes at Miro, but Miro gives Bryan a hard shot that downs him. He waits for Bryan to get back up. Leg kicks from Bryan. Miro kicks him down again. He implores Bryan for more. Danielson gets up and obliges. Three kicks by Bryan, one kick by Miro downs him. Miro fireman carries Bryan over to the top turnbuckle. The two punch it out on top. Danielson hits a tornado DDT from up top and gets a guillotine choke in. Miro is immediately out and Aubrey calls for the bell.
