Tony Khan On Possibly Seeing ROH Talent In AEW: Stay Tuned, You Never Know Who Will Show Up

Tony Khan says he can’t speak to what happens to the Ring Of Honor tape library, but he can’t encourage fans to stay tuned to see if any talent shows up on AEW TV.

Tony Khan took part in a media call on Thursday to promote AEW Full Gear and was asked by Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp about the possibility that AEW looks into acquiring the Ring Of Honor tape library or some of their talent.

ROH recently announced the company would be going on hiatus and would not renew any contracts in 2022, opening up the possibility for them to sign elsewhere. There have been unconfirmed reports that ROH is looking to sell the tape library, which includes the All In event that served as a prelude of sorts to All Elite Wrestling. Khan said fans will just have to stay tuned as far as talent is concerned, but he can’t speak with any certainty as to what will happen with the library or the business side of ROH.

“Well there’s a lot of great stuff there, they’ve had a lot of great matches and great shows in the library and they have a lot of great talent. So, I can’t say with any certainty, but you know, we’ll see what happens on the business side. As far as the talent goes, I would say stay tuned to AEW, there’s Dynamite every Wednesday, there’s Rampage tomorrow and the Full Gear pay-per-view on Saturday, so you never know who’s going to show up in AEW. As for the business side of it, I’m good friends with a lot of people in the company, Ring Of Honor, and actually, the agent that represents them is my neighbor in LA, he lives down the block, so he’s a friend of mine. I am very familiar with what’s going on there but I can’t say with any degree of certainty what’ll happen on the business side.”

Tony Khan also spoke about how he contributed to the NWA Empowerrr all-women’s event and how the National Wrestling Alliance should have been more open with that credit; read his full response at this link. Listen to the full media call at the top of this post.
