Juice Robinson Confirms He’ll Be A Free Agent In February 2022

Juice Robinson might be ready to spread his wings and fly.

Juice Robinson recently spoke with Sports Illustrated and revealed that he is set to become a free agent in February 2022, when his current deal with New Japan Pro-Wrestling runs out.

“I’ll be a free agent [in] February,” Robinson says. “It’s a great time in wrestling to show up anywhere, and maybe it’s the right time for me to spread my wings and fly.”

Fightful Select first reported that Robinson’s contract with New Japan Pro-Wrestling would expire at the end of January; he signed a multi-year deal with the promotion in 2019 and is expected to get “multiple offers” once he enters the free agent market.

Robinson also confirmed to Sports Illustrated he’s returning to singles action as he gears up for what could be his final run in New Japan, noting that he’s looking to show that he’s still got it whether he’s a tag team wrestler or on his own.

“Maybe people forgot I can get it done as a singles guy,” Robinson says. “But they’re going to remember really quickly when they see me on Saturday.”

Robinson will face off with IMPACT Wrestling World Champion Moose at Battle In The Valley, and he says he wants to bust the myth that Moose is the wrestling god he claims to be.

“This Saturday is going to be my jumping-off point to show the world what I can do, and that includes being a world champion,” Robinson says. “Now Moose is an incredible athlete and a force of nature. But when he says he’s a wrestling god, he’s downright, vehemently lying. I’m going to show that world that isn’t true.”
