Bryan Danielson Advances to AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament Final

Bryan Danielson and Eddie Kingston went to war this week on AEW Rampage, with a spot in the finals of the AEW World Championship Eliminator Tournament on the line. In an instant classic, Danielson did just enough to come out on top.

From the very start of the match, it was clear that this was going to be a special match. Both competitors went at it from the start, with both Danielson and Kingston slow to introduce any big moves before “The American Dragon” began unloading on his opponent with kicks and chops.

Later in the match, after forcing “The Mad King” out of the ring to take a break, Danielson began stalking him around the ring. He let Kingston back into the ring, but Danielson was caught off guard with a massive spinning back fist. Clearly exhausted, Kingston also dropped down to the mat, causing the AEW Rampage crowd to stand up and applaud the effort from both men.

Shortly after getting back to his feet, Kingston attempted to make his way over to a downed Danielson and grab him. But “The American Dragon” saw Kingston coming, and he pulled his opponent into a choke. Kingston attempted to pick up and slam Danielson down to the mat to break it up, but “The American Dragon” held on and elbowed his head until the referee stopped the match, as “The Mad King” had passed out.

The victory now advances Danielson into the tournament final, where he’ll face off against the winner of the bout between Jon Moxley and Orange Cassidy (on AEW Dynamite next week) for a shot at the AEW World Championship. The final will be held at AEW Full Gear on November 13.
