Goldberg On When He Intends To Stop Wrestling, Has One More Match On WWE Deal

Goldberg only has one more match left on his current WWE contract.

Goldberg was recently interviewed by Ring Rules prior to WWE Crown Jewel to discuss his wrestling career, and how much longer he intends on doing it. When asked what brought him out of retirement after so many years away, Goldberg confirmed it was his son that got him back into the ring:

“Well, I never had a child when I wrestled before,” Goldberg began. “My wife and I were lucky enough to have a little boy. When he grew up and understood what I used to do for a living, there were a lot of questions. And I figured if I could still get in shape physically, and I was still wanted by the fans, that I’d show him in person what I did.”

When asked how much longer he thinks he’ll be an active wrestler, Goldberg believes he can still wrestle and entertain, but he only has one more match on his current WWE contract following Crown Jewel:

“I still feel as though I can wrestle,” Goldberg said. “I still feel as though I can entertain. After this match, I have one more match on my contract. And that’s it. We’ll see what happens; you never know.”

Following this interview, Goldberg went on to have an impressive no holds barred match against Bobby Lashley, where some fans stated it was the best the WWE Hall of Famer has looked in quite a few years. So perhaps his in-ring career isn’t ending anytime soon.
