The Briscoes, the most legendary tag team in Ring of Honor history, will burst through the Forbidden Door when they challenge Second Gear Crew (Mance Warner & Matthew Justice) for the GCW Tag Team Championship at GCW War Ready on October 23.
In an interview with Bodyslam.net, Mark and Jay Briscoe previewed the bout and emphasized their goal to add another set of tag titles to their impressve collection.
“We comin’,” said Jay. “We coming’. We here to take the titles. We need to get strapped up, and that’s what we gonna do.”
“What we do is tag team rasslin’,” said Mark. “21 years now, tag team rasslin’, tag team action baby. And GCW.. little known.. formerly known as JCW. You lookin’ at the former JCW Light Heavyweight Champion.. We was in Garfield, NJ back in 2002.. Shoot.. talkin’ bout their neighborhood.. shoot. I understand that, but we talkin’ bout the North East indies.”
“We OG’s in the game, baby,” Jay chimed in. “OG’s in the game.”
Mark went on to say that GCW reminds him of ECW because it has “that flame.”
“This is North East Indies, and I like how GCW get down,” said Mark. “They got that flame ya know what I mean? That old ECW.. that flame.”
