AEW Rampage Results (10/15/21): CM Punk, Chris Jericho And More Compete

Friday night’s episode of AEW Rampage is star-studded, to say the least. CM Punk and Chris Jericho will be in action; “The Second City Saint” will look to remain undefeated in AEW, and “Le Champion”, AEW TNT Champion Sammy Guevara and Jake Hager will take on the Men of the Year and former UFC Heavyweight Champion Junior Dos Santos.

Plus, Ruby Soho will face The Bunny in a singles bout.

AEW Rampage Results (10/15/21)

CM Punk vs. Matt Sydal

This match aired commercial-free. The two veterans felt each other out to begin the bout. Punk gets an early two count with a pin attempt. Sydal stretches Punk from a surfboard position and takes him down with an arm drag. He later wrenches Punk’s leg in another painful hold, but “The Second City Saint” rallies with a dropkick. A sliding knee strike in the corner floors Punk.

The former world champion fires back by slamming Sydal on the apron. Both men crash to the floor after they battle for positioning on the top rope. Sydal gets a near fall and drops Punk with a neckbreaker. Punk hits his classic knee strike/bulldog combination, but Sydal sends him flying with a hurricanrana off the top.

Later in the match, Punk locks in the Anaconda Vise, but Sydal reaches the ropes. Sydal practically knocks Punk out with a kick and gets a near fall with a Lightning Spiral. In the end, Punk hits the GTS for the win.

Winner: CM Punk

Backstage, the Dark Order celebrates “Hangman” Adam Page’s return and challenges The Elite to a match, hoping to curtail the group’s interference in the eventual title match between Page and Kenny Omega.

Ruby Soho vs. The Bunny

The Bunny talks some trash early on, but Soho gains the upper hand. She drills The Bunny with a knee to the head and maintains the advantage. The Bunny fires back with a knee of her own.

After a commerical break, both women keep fighting, and Soho rallies with a flurry of strikes. The Bunny catches Soho with a kick to the face and gets a two count with a German suplex. Soho ultimately stuns The Bunny with a backslide for the three count.

Winner: Ruby Soho

Penelope Ford attacks Soho after the match, and The Bunny joins in on the fun. They gang up on the fan-favorite star, and Ford blasts Soho in the face with her brass knuckles.

Backstage, Mark Henry hosts a split-screen interview in which Chris Jericho and Dan Lambert share final barbs ahead of the main event.
