Ricky Morton Signs Off On FTR’s New ‘Midnight’ Theme: ‘Bobby Would Be So Proud To See This’

FTR just got a meaningful endorsement from Ricky Morton.

Last week, Tony Khan revealed that FTR would be getting a new theme song in All Elite Wrestling. Titled “Darkside of TR,” the AEW President posted the new track and hailed it as “the only wrestling theme better late at night than Ben & Jerry’s.”

It was quickly pointed out that the new theme was strikingly similar to the Midnight Express’ old theme song, another nice nod to the past by the AEW duo. Now, Ricky Morton of The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express has also shared his thoughts, praising the tune for being one that he approves of, and one that the late Bobby Eaton, who was in the Midnight Express, would enjoy.

“I just noticed FTR is using Midnight Theme music with a remix on #aew I most definitely sign off on this one! Bobby would be so proud to see this,” Morton wrote.

Fans can listen to the new entrance music at this link. FTR’s Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler’s ring names also pay tribute to the past, as they picked those names in honor of Demolition’s Ax and Smash. Ax (Bill Eadie) recently spoke with WrestleZone and called it a “fine tribute” and said he appreciated it.
