AEW Rampage Results (10/1/21)

On Friday Night, All Elite Wrestling once again returned for another edition of AEW Rampage. Tonight’s show features some big matches, with Bryan Danielson taking to the ring against Nick Jackson, Orange Cassidy and Jack Evans facing off in a “Hair vs. Hair” match, and Jade Cargill, Nyla Rose, and Thunder Rosa all facing off against one another in a huge Triple Threat match.

AEW Rampage (10/1/21) Results:

  • Bryan Danielson def. Nick Jackson via submission
    • Following the match, the remaining members of The Elite came down to the ring, which prompted Christian Cage and Jurassic Express to come down and join Danielson. A brawl broke out into the ring, which ended with Jungle Boy trapping Adam Cole in a Snare Trap, while Danielson locked Kenny Omega in the LeBell Lock.

Jade Cargill defeated Nyla Rose and Thunder Rosa in a Triple Threat Match; the bout featured plenty of weapons, and it was practically an Extreme Rules Match. In the end, Cargill won the chaotic battle when she pinned Rosa, who had been the top-ranked competitor in the women’s division.

In a video package, Malakai Black tells Cody Rhodes the black mist he used in their match at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam came from his heart. He expresses his hope that the blackness sank into Rhodes’ soul before he hints at his intention to target other “souls.”

A few of the The Casino Ladder Match participants have been announced; PAC, Andrade El Idolo, Jon Moxley and Lance Archer will compete in the bout on Dynamite. Later in the show, Orange Cassidy and Matt Hardy are announced for the bout.

Before the main event, Jack Evans says he won’t let Matt Hardy down, and Orange Cassidy is clearly confused about the Hair vs. Hair stipulation.

Hair vs. Hair: Orange Cassidy vs. Jack Evans (with Matt Hardy)

Evans tries to capitalize on an early distraction from Hardy by rolling Cassidy up, but “Freshly Squeezed” kicks out. With his distinct offensive style, Cassidy takkes control, but Hardy drags him out of the ring and punches him when the referee isn’t looking. Evans gains the upper hand and hits a 450 Splash off the apron.

With more interference from Hardy, Evans continues to control the match. Cassidy rallies with a flurry of offense, but Evans fires back with a Michinoku Driver. “Freshly Squeezed” dodges a diving Evans and drops him with a DDT. After a diving DDT. Hardy calls for The H.F.O., but the rest of the Best Friends and Dark Order come out to fend them off. Cassidy subsequently pins Evans.

Winner: Orange Cassidy

Dark Order, alongside the Best Friends, stops H.F.O. from entering the ring, and Hardy abandons Evans “for the greater good.” Cassidy cuts Evans’ hair, and the Dark Order and Best Frieds collectively celebrate with -1 to close the show.
