WATCH: First Three Episodes Of STARZ Series ‘Heels’ Available For Free

The first three full episodes of the STARZ series Heels are now available to watch for free.

Set in the world of independent professional wrestling, the series stars Stephen Amell and Alexander Ludwig as Jack & Ace Spade, two brothers at the center of the Duffy Wrestling League. Heels is a story “about the men and women who chase their dreams in the world of small-town pro wrestling.”

The drama series also stars Alison Luff as Staci Spade, Jack’s wife; Mary McCormack as Willie Day, Jack’s business partner; Kelli Berglund as Crystal Tyler, Ace’s valet and love interest; Allen Maldonado as wrestler Rooster Robbins; James Harrison as journeyman wrestler Apocalypse; and Chris Bauer as Wild Bill Hancock, a former wrestling star turned scout.

CM Punk also makes a guest appearance on the show’s third episode as an independent wrestler named “Ricky Rabies” and will return for the season finale. WrestleZone spoke with Punk about the role and the work the whole cast put in to make sure things were as authentic as possible.

“Everybody would be doing rolls, taking bumps, running the ropes. Everybody worked really, really hard. Chris Bauer, Kelly Berglund, Robby Ramos… James Harrison (Apocalypse), here’s a freak athlete who, I watched him pick up stuff and I watched him do stuff that a lot of pro wrestlers couldn’t do,” Punk explained, “but this dude was doing it effortlessly. Everybody is really putting the ring time in to really respect pro wrestling and I think that’ll come across when fans watch the show.”

CM Punk noted that even when he wasn’t filming on location, the show had a gym set up on a studio where everyone would go to work out. He said even if there wasn’t a “work day,” you’d still see the cast putting the effort in at the gym and it’s “very much less about me getting into shape than it is more about everybody else getting into shape.”
