Booker T Compares Adam Cole To Chris Jericho; Would Make A ‘Hell Of A Teammate’ For Any Company

Booker T caused a polarizing stir with his recent thoughts on CM Punk’s AEW debut, but the two-time WWE Hall Of Famer has shown he can take the heat. Another man he believes can weather any storm of criticism is Adam Cole (Bay Bay) whose WWE contract expired on 8/27. On the most recent episode of his Hall of Fame series, Booker was asked by co-host Brad Gilmore about the potential of Cole going to All Elite Wrestling and what he could contribute to the brand.

“I look at it from a unit perspective,” Booker said comparing laying out your roster akin to a pro football team. “Everybody got to be best at what they do in that position on the roster. That’s the way I’m looking at it right there,” he added before stating the mindset to structuring out your program should be like the military.

“I need another soldier that’s gonna be ready to step up and ranks in commands at the drop of a hat, you know what I mean? And a guy like Adam Cole is definitely is a guy like that because he can work , he can perform at a very high level you can put him with anybody to go out there and give you what you need, and that for me is what I’m thinking about when it comes to a show. Guys that can get out there and perform, guys that can get out there and go and bring behinds to seats and ratings to this television product that we have here so yeah, he’ll be a hell of a soldier. He’ll be a hell of a teammate to that addition any way you look at it. Any way you look at it cause the guy is obviously a team player because he’s been down there in NXT since day one.”

Booker says he’s been a fan of Adam Cole too since that day one and says that he can overcome any aversions regarding his stature.

“He’s one of those guys that’s aren’t the biggest guys, but guys like Jericho aren’t the biggest guys in the room, but they knew how to work 6’3″ tall. I’m serious. Certain guys, Shawn Michaels is one of those guys.”
