Three Title Matches Announced For AEW Rampage Debut On 8/13

This week’s debut episode of AEW Rampage will feature a loaded lineup.

AEW Rampage will debut in Pittsburgh on Friday night, and the show will see three titles defended on the show. Hometown favorite Britt Baker will defend the AEW Women’s Championship against Red Velvet, and Fuego Del Sol will challenge Miro for the AEW TNT Championship.

Additionally, it was announced on Dynamite that Christian Cage will get a shot at Kenny Omega’s title… the IMPACT Wrestling World Championship. Cage is already Omega’s opponent at All Out in an AEW World Championship match, but he’ll get another shot at Omega on Rampage.

Following a six-man tag team match that saw the Elite take down Dante Martin, Matt Sydal and Mike Sydal, Cage made his way down to the ring to interrupt the winners’ celebration. Cage revealed that he had spoken to Tony Khan and IMPACT’s Scott D’Amore, and they granted him the IMPACT title match on Friday.

Christian Cage is a former World Champion from his days in IMPACT Wrestling (known as TNA Wrestling), but he held the NWA World Heavyweight Championship when it was the company’s active title. If he wins on Friday, it would be his first title reign with the IMPACT World Championship under its current lineage.
