AEW Dynamite Results (8/11/21)

Backstage, Death Triangle says they need to do something about Andrade El Idolo. Pentagon El Zero M says he wants Andrade first. PAC tells the Lucha Brothers not to worry about Anrade because he’ll take care of it. Instead, he tells them to focus on the tag titles. PAC says he doesn’t know why Andrade is obsessed with Death Triangle, but it stops now. He challenges Andrade to a match if he dares.

Trios Match: Orange Cassidy, Wheeer Yuta and Chuck Taylor (with Kris Statlander) vs. Matt Hardy and Private Party (with The Bunny, The Blade, Jack Evans and Angelico)

Hardy and Cassidy start the bout, and Hardy won’t let Cassidy put his hands in his pockets. Instead, Cassidy puts Hardy’s hand in his pocket, but Hardy drops him with a Side Effect. Casssidy slowly rolls out of the ring and jumps off the first rope with a splash. HFO double-teams Cassidy and isolates him.

Cassidy kicks Kassidy, and the Best Friends take control. Yuta slams Kassidy for a two count. Private Party drops Yuta with the Silly String. The duo grounds Yuta, and Hardy eventually gets in on the action. HFO dominates Yuta for a few minutes, but Yuta rallies with a dropkick that takes down Private Party. Hardy distracts the referee, and Kris Statlander argues with The Bunny at ringside. Nyla Rose attacks Statlander, and Jack Evans drops Cassidy with a cheap shot.

Taylor tags in and clears house. He dives onto The Blade and Angelico at ringside. Taylor powerbombs Marq Quen onto Kassidy and gets a two count with a Liger bomb. Cassidy floors Hardy with a tornado DDT and dives onto him outside the ring. Yuta dives onto Quen with a splash for a two count.

Kassidy gets a blind tag and nearly steals the win with a senton bomb. Private Party plants Yuta with the Gin and Juice, but Cassidy hits the Orange Punch to keep his team’s hopes alive. Hardy pins Yuta with a Twist of Fate after a distraction from HFO.

Winners: Matt Hardy and Private Party

Backstage, Andrade El Idolo and Chavo Guerrero Jr. call PAC ungrateful. Andrade tells PAC to be careful what he wishes for, and Guerrero says Andrade should teach him who the boss is at All Out.

In a video promo, Ortiz and Santana discuss their feud with FTR and make it clear that it’s not over.

Nyla Rose (with Vickie Guerrero) vs. Kris Statlander (with Orange Cassidy)

Rose blindsides Statlander while she’s still entering the ring and floors her with a pounce. She overpowers Statlander and plants her with a suplex. Statlander rallies and dives onto Rose with a pendulum moonsault off the apron. Cassidy encorages her with a thumbs up, and Guerrero screams at him. Rose slams Statlander on the apron for a two count.

Rose spears Statlander while she’s doing a hand-stand, but the fan-favorite alien powerbombs “The Native Beast.” A 450 splash earns Statlander the victory.

Winner: Kris Statlander

Backstage, The Young Bucks said they showed everyone why they’re Elite earlier tonight. They say they’re the best of all time, and they brag that next week’s title match will be as easy as a lay-up. Matt Jackson goes for a literal lay-up, but Luchasaurus blocks the shot, and Jungle Boy makes one of his own.
