CMLL is looking for new Trios and Middleweight Champions after they announced that the current title holders have departed the promotion.
According to a statement issued by CMLL, Sansón, Cuatrero and Forastero (collectively known as “NGD”) are no longer with the company and have vacated their titles. A new tournament to determine new champions for each respective title will start in the near future; the full statement (via translation) is below:
The World Wrestling Council informs that, by mutual agreement, and thus agreeing to the interests of both parties, Sansón, Cuatrero and Forastero cease to belong to the cast of this organization as of today.
Due to this situation, the World Trios Championship and the CMLL Medium World Championship are declared vacant and the qualifying rounds to find the new champions will be detailed shortly.
CMLL’s next event is on Friday, August 13.
