During tonight’s episode of AEW Dark: Elevation, Joey Janela turned on his friend and tag team partner Sonny Kiss, as he assaulted the fan-favorite star in a shocking display.

As Kiss and Janela were coming out for a tag team match, Janela stunned both the All Elite Wrestling crowd and Kiss by delivering a nasty superkick that dropped Kiss. Although the two had been disagreeing as of late, it was still a stunning turn of events. Janela made it more eye-opening when he went on to assault their opponents for the match, DMC. Janela also dropped Kiss with a brutal piledriver on the stage.
In a brief tweet sent out on Monday night, Kiss responded to the attack by saying that he shouldn’t be too shocked by the betrayal because Janela is the “Bad Boy.”
