Sasha Banks Returns To WWE SmackDown, Attacks Bianca Belair

Sasha Banks is back.

She hadn’t been inside of a WWE ring since her WrestleMania 37 loss to Bianca Belair, but during this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, she surprised the WWE Universe by returning to seemingly help “The EST.” But by the end of the night, she stabbed Belair in the back and made her intentions clear.

Early on in the show, Belair came out to the ring to be interviewed regarding her first 100 days as the WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion. Instead, she was interrupted by both Carmella and Zelina Vega, who both laid claim to a title shot before they attacked the champion. At this point, Banks came running down to the ring. She saved the champion and shocked everyone – Belair included – by hugging her former rival.

Later in the night, Banks and Belair teamed up to take down Carmella and Vega in a tag team match, with Banks winning the match for their team by forcing Carmella to tap out after locking in the Bank Statement.

Following the match, Belair and Banks once again celebrated, seemingly ending their longtime feud as they danced to Banks’ theme music.

However, the happiness was short-lived, as Banks quickly stunned Belair and the crowd by hitting “The EST” with a nasty backbreaker before laying into her with a flurry of punches. Banks then dragged both Belair and the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship into the middle of the ring, where she promptly locked Belair into a Bank Statement.

Banks then yelled that she was “The Boss”, and she posed with the belt before she ended the night by putting Belair in the Bank Statement again.
