“Champions vs. All Stars” is returning to Ring of Honor.

On the weekend of August 14, ROH Wrestling will feature a star-studded 10-man tag team match between the company’s champions and some of its top stars. ROH World Champion Bandido will team up with World Television Champion Dragon Lee and the World Television Champions, Homicide and Chris Dickinson. Their opponents will be The Briscoes, EC3, Flip Gordon and Josh Woods.

This match will air one week before ROH Glory By Honor, so the competitors will hope to pick up some momentum ahead of the buzzworthy two-night event.

Kevin Eck announced the news in the latest edition of the “Eck’s Files” on the official ROH website:

Champions vs. All Stars, an ROH staple, will headline the Ring of Honor Wrestling episode that airs the weekend of Aug. 14.

The 10-man tag match pits World Champion Bandido, World Television Champion Dragon Lee, Pure Champion Jonathan Gresham and World Tag Team Champions Chris Dickinson and Homicide against a team of all-stars consisting of Jay and Mark Briscoe, EC3, Flip Gordon and Josh Woods.

It will be very interesting to see if the champions can work together, as members of warring factions La Faccion Ingobernable (Lee), The Foundation (Gresham) and Violence Unlimited (Dickinson and Homicide) will be teammates for a night.

There wasn’t a “Champions vs. All Stars” special in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the previous installment in 2019 , RUSH and Jeff Cobb won the match for the All Stars; at the time, Matt Taven (World), Shane Taylor (Television) and The Briscoes (Tag Team) were the champions. Jay Lethal and Kenny King were also on Team All Stars.
