Big E Langston just wants his name back.

Big E has won the WWE Money in the Bank briefcase and it does entitle him to a future title match, but the only title he cares about is his former last name. As many fans know, Big E was once Big E Langston before the last name was dropped shortly into his singles run in WWE.

Joking about it on the recent episode of The New Day podcast, E stated that he has found a loophole that will allow him to use the briefcase to get his last name back.

“I’ve decided that because I have the Money in the Bank briefcase, I found that there is a loophole and I want to use that to cash in to get my last name. You know, because titles are important. They are, don’t get me wrong, but I think I’d like to use it — You know, I actually found it in the fine print. I think it allows my last name back.

“So I had my lawyer look over it and we celebrated, you know because that really is the victory is becoming whole again. Imagine if there was like a normal Money in the Bank match but for everyone who lost the last name or first Name got this man or woman, this briefcase gets your name back and no one can take it from you again…Yeah, I was trying to think of a good name for it. But that might just be it as long as possible. Their first names, too, I think because Cesaro was Antonio. Which seems weird in retrospect. I know Sheamus always calls him Tony still. So it’s still people keeping it alive in a way. But yeah, that’s, that’s me. That’s what I want to do. So yeah, I was really excited when I found that out. The title of being a world champion is exciting. But man, you know…”

He concluded, “I need a flight to Stanford. I think you’re right. But I’ll make sure it comes across there. So it actually makes TV. At least socials. Yes, so that’s me, Mr. Money in the Bank but soon to be Mr. Big E. Langston.”
