Zelina Vega Returns, Gets Spot In Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match

Sonya Deville made her way out to the ring during this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown to announce the latest entrant in the Women’s Money in the Bank Contract Ladder Match. In a shocking surprise, that entrant was none other than Zelina Vega.

Vega made her way down to the ring, much to the surprise of the ThunderDome, and said that she plans on winning the match and cashing in her opportunity to become the Women’s Champion on one of WWE’s three brands. However, the duo was quickly interrupted by Liv Morgan, who furiously stormed down to the ring and demanded to know why Vega was getting an opportunity instead of her.

Vega said that she had been wrestling for years and was one of the most popular female competitors in WWE history, but that response only made Morgan even angrier. Morgan then challenged her to a match on the spot. After Deville gave it the green light, the two competitors faced off, and Morgan came away with the unexpected win after she quickly rolled Vega up for the pin.

WWE released Vega in November 2020, but she was spotted at the company’s Performance Center in May, so many fans speculated about her potential return.

While Morgan has yet to be granted a spot in the Money in the Bank Contract Ladder Match, Vega now joins a group of stars that includes Asuka, Naomi, Alexa Bliss, Nikki Cross, Carmella, and two currently undecided entrants.
