Kevin Owens Qualifies For Men’s Money In The Bank Match; Updated Lineup

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have been feuding for a few months now, and during this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown, the two former friends faced off in a Money in the Bank Qualifying Last Man Standing Match.

In a hard-hitting bout, Owens and Zayn gave it their all right from the very start. The bad blood boiling between the two stars bubbled over in this match, as Owens started out hot and proceeded to absolutely lay into Zayn early and often. Owens stacked up two stacked tables in the corner, but this plan came back to bite him.

As Owens continued to try and put Zayn through the tables, the former WWE Intercontinental Champion rallied and pushed him backwards and through both tables. Still, Owens got back to his feet just before the referee made it to the count of 10. The two rivals continued to brawl for some time, before Owens finally snapped.

After he survived multiple Helluva Kicks from Zayn, Owens came alive against his former friend. He and Zayn continued fighting outside of the ring, where Owens ending the bout by hitting a huge powerbomb to put Zayn through the announcer’s table, before he slammed him through another table that Zayn had set up. Finally, Owens hit one last powerbomb onto the edge of the ring, dropping Zayn and leaving him too hurt to get up.

With the victory, Owens will now advance to the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, where he’ll join Ricochet, John Morrison, Riddle, Drew McIntyre, Big E, and two currently unknown competitors.
