WWE Files Trademarks On ‘Happy Corbin’ Among Other Names

WWE has filed a new noteworthy trademarks.

On June 25, the company applied for trademarks on the following names:

Happy Corbin

Nikki ASH

World Class Championship Wrestling’s logo

The trademarks for all three were filed under entertainment services, h/t of Jeremy Lambert of Fightful:

These applications could reflect potential changes for Baron Corbin and Nikki Cross. Corbin lost his “King” moniker following Shinsuke Nakamura’s victory in a Battle for the Crown between the duo. The following week, he was clearly disheartened on the night of Nakamura’s coronation.

As for Cross, she recently debuted a superhero charcter. This week on WWE RAW, she called herself “Nikki ASH,” with “ASH” being short for “Almost a Super Hero.”

World Class Championship Wrestling (WCCW) was a promotion based in Texas, and it was run by Fritz Von Erich. Stars like  The Fabulous Freebirds, Jake “The Snake” Roberts, Mick Foley and Shawn Michaels competed for the company at various points. WWE owns its tape library up to 1989, and some of the content is available on the WWE Network.

WrestleZone will provide more details as they become available.
