Kevin Owens States He ‘Needs A Little Break’ After Loss To Sami Zayn

It may look like one of WWE’s top babyfaces will be taking a bit of a sabbatical following Sunday’s Hell In A Cell PPV. Kevin Owens announced via social media that he needs a little break when he took on his longtime rival and former friend Sami Zayn in singles action. Owens shared the following brief statement on Twitter regarding his plans:

“I fought like hell. Now, I need a little break. I’ll be back soon. Thank you, guys.”

“Fight like hell” did KO do as he and Sami put on one of the stand-out matches on the PPV card. A big element of the story happened to be Owens suffering from the effects of not one, but two Nigerian Nails delivered by General Azeez this past Friday on Smackdown. Owens displayed trouble breathing and Zayn took advantage. Owens did hit a stunner in the bout but it was ultimately a Helluva Kick delivered by Zayn that secured the 1-2-3 for the conspiracy maniac from Montreal. Owens did appear to injure his arm in the match, but whether that injury was legitimate or part of the story has yet to be determined. A win by Zayn seemingly lines him up for an Intercontinental Title shot at Apollo Crews.
