MVP Helps Bobby Lashley Retain WWE Title In Drew McIntyre’s Last Chance At WWE Hell In A Cell

“The All Mighty” Era continues.

At WWE Hell in a Cell, Drew McIntyre got his last shot at Bobby Lashley’s WWE Championship. This grudge match was held within the confines of the Devil’s Playground.

“The Scottish Warrior” dominated the opening minutes, as he took the fight to the champion and overwhelmed him. But MVP gave Lashley his cane, and “The All Mighty” blasted the challenger in the throat with it. But McIntyre roared back with a slam onto the steel steps.

McIntyre then bashed Lashley into the cell wall, but “The All Mighty” repeatedly headbutted his opponent.

McIntyre then brought a steel chair into the match and blasted Lashley with it. “The Scottish Warrior” evaded the Hurt Lock and hit a powerbomb for a two count. But Lashley took control by bashing McIntyre’s head into the cell wall with the steel steps.

The champion then trapped McIntyre in the wall with a kendo stick and punched him over and over again. When he slammed McIntyre head-first into a chair, Lashley completely gained the upper hand. But McIntyre rallied with rally of offense. He dropped Lashley with a Future Shock DDT, but the referee had been knocked down, so he couldn’t count the pin.

McIntyre hit the Claymore, but MVP stopped the referee from counting the pinfall.

At that point, MVP was locked inside the cell, so McIntyre attacked him and rocked him with a Claymore. Lashley capitalized, though, as he snuck up behind McIntyre and put him in the Hurt Lock. To escape the Hurt Lock, McIntyre sent them both crashing through a table.

Lashley dodged another Claymore, and he sent McIntyre crashing through another table. Still, McIntyre kept fighting, and he hit another Future Shock DDT. On the verge of victory, McIntyre set up another Claymore, but MVP stopped him, and Lashley rolled McIntyre up for the win.
