Alexa Bliss’ gimmick on WWE RAW has been quite polarizing, especially since Bliss introduced the world to Lilly. But Liv Morgan had nothing but nice things to say about the character.
But an interview with Stephanie Chase of Digital Spy, Morgan praised Bliss’ unique gimmick. She explained why she is “drawn” to the character and how she finds inspriration in Bliss’ creativity.
“I love what she’s doing,” said Morgan.”It’s creative, it’s artsy, it’s dark, which are all things that I am drawn to.
“I definitely think maybe it makes others broaden their mind as to what we can and are able to, get away with. It’s inspirational in that aspect showing us we can think outside the box maybe a little bit more than we had anticipated.”
Morgan also discussed her WWE documentary, “Liv Forever”, and described how she enjoyed having the ability to show fans the downside of supposed stardom in WWE.
“Seeing the struggles of being a WWE Superstar, it’s definitely a blessed life, but it’s still not all rainbows and sunshine,” said Morgan. “There’s a lot of heartache and there’s a lot of disappointment in the journey. So we kind of opened the doors to let people see the other side.”
In the interview, Morgan also noted how her documentary differed from WWE’s other original programs; whereas many of these specials showcase a champion’s triumph, her documentary explored her quest to get onto programming.
“Usually when we do documentaries it’s the challenger on their way to be champion and mine was completely different,” said Morgan. “It was, here’s this girl, just trying to get on TV, let’s see her struggle.”
Morgan continues to persevere in her mission to carve out a prominent role on WWE. She’s currently a member of the SmackDown brand. She defeated Carmella on the June 11 episode of the show.
