Report by Colin Tessier for Wrestlezone.com

Quinn McKay welcomes viewers and previews the show. She recaps the bracket for the Survival of the Fittest tournament and the results so far. McKay also describes how the Pure Rules tag team match will work ahead of the main event ROH World Tag Team Championship match.

Survival of the Fittest Qualifier: Eli Isom vs. Dak Draper

In a pre-match promo, Isom notes the prestige of the tournament and looks back on his last match with Draper, which ended in a time limit draw. He tells Draper will have to bring everything he has in order to beat him. Meanwhile, Draper says he’s the perfect pick to win the tournament because a world title is the only thing he’s missing. He admits that he never expected Isom to take him to a time limit draw, and he knew his career would be intertwined with Isom’s. But he makes it clear that he’ll beat Isom, win the tournament and earn a title shot.

Right when the match starts, the lights go out, and Dalton Castle dances to ringside with his boys. Castle tells the competitors he’s just there to watch. Right away, Isom gains the upper hand with a dive to the outside. He takes the fight to Draper with some strikes in the corner. A kick to the head rocks Draper, and Isom gets a two count with a sunset flip. Castle’s boys distract Isom, and Draper capitalizes by kicking the ropes when “Infinite” Isom goes for a springboard move.

Draper drops Isom with deadlift superplex and grounds him with some punches to the head. Castle and his boys walk around the ring while the match continues. “The Mile High Magnum” is fully in control after a clothesline. Draper takes Isom over the ropes with a crossbody, and both men are down. He throws Isom into the barricade, and Castle and his boys dive out of the way. Castle coaches Draper by telling him to finish the bout. Draper grounds Isom with a waist-lock, but “Infinite” rallies. A Doctor bomb earns Draper a near fall.

Castle continues to instruct Draper, but Isom fires up with a flurry of offense. Castle leaves the arena, and the brief distraction gives Isom some breathing room. He catches Draper with The Promise for the win.

Winner: Eli Isom

A video package hypes up O’Shay Edwards’ Survival of the Fittest qualifier against Chris Dickinson; the bout will air on “ROH Week By Week” on 6/15. Edwards says that after the match, everyone will know who he is. Dickinson notes that he’s survived a lot in his life and wonders whether Edwards is prepared for the kind of adversity he brings to the table. He says he can’t think of a better way to punctuate his arrival in ROH than by winning the tournament and taking the title.
